As a company we have been well established in Elland for over 74 years, making us one of the top plant hire companies in the whole of Yorkshire!

Briggs and Partner Ltd first formed in 1944 by Savile Thwaite & associates and initially dealt with drag lines and bulldozers. In the late 60s and 70s, the Thwaite family solely took ownership and continue to do so to this day.

Founded initially on principal ethics of professional, reliable and quality service, the company has endeavoured to maintain these principles through Joe Thwaite and his son David Thwaite.

Over the years, our plant machinery has modernised and developed in parallel with the construction industry and we currently have a wide range of plant hire available throughout Yorkshire, Lancashire and other parts of the UK.
